NVIDIA Rumored To Launch Volta Architecture GPU In May 2017

News on the upcoming Titan X based on Pascal architecture might not be the hottest topic anymore as it turns out that NVIDIA's hype train hasn't stopped yet. Latest rumor on wccftech.com suggests that NVIDIA might be launching a new GPU architecture,  codenamed Volta, to replace the current Pascal architecture during NVIDIA’s own GPU Technology Conference (GTC) that will be taking place somewhere on May 8th to 11th next year.

While it is originally planned for release in 2018 on 10nm FinTET process, the rumored upcoming Volta architecture GPU will be based on 16nm FinFET process instead, featuring HBM 2.0 and fully support Async Computing on DirectX 12.
