ASUS announced not only its Zenfone 3 lineup during the Zenvolution Malaysia Launch event @KLCC, but also its latest Zenbook 3, Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro during the event.
The Zenbook 3 is ASUS's latest ultrabook which ASUS has claimed to be the one to redefines how an ultrabook should be, priced at RM7999. Just so you know, it's specially crafted with aircraft grade aluminum body which houses a powerful Intel Core i7 6500U mobile CPU, 16GB LPDDR3 memory module running on 2133MHz, 1TB PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD for that blazing fast performance. The 4 x SonicMaster speakers and ASUS Tru2Life video tuning optimization too are the features that ASUS aims to bring entertainment on a 12.5″ FHD IPS display to a whole new level.
If you want a device that offers more performance and flexibility than the Zenbook 3, there's the Transformer 3 Pro 2-in-1 convertible touchscreen ultrabook laptop tablet, priced at RM6999. While packs with the same Intel Core i7 6500U mobile CPU but a slightly slower 16GB LPDDR3 memory module running on 1866MHz and 512GB SSD storage, the Transformer 3 Pro are made to do more than what the Zenbook 3 can offer. It can be a drawing tab (using the ASUS Pen), a laptop or even a gaming machine that is capable of running on 4K resolution using a ROG XG Station 2 external graphics dock that is connected to the Transformer 3 Pro via Thunderbolt 3 port.
Don't actually need all those fancy features from the previous 2 devices? ASUS has a much more affordable option for you, the Transformer 3 that comes with the same features on the Transformer 3 Pro (Intel Thunderbolt 3, Sleeve keyboard and ASUS Pen) but at a much lower price of RM3199. It packs with Intel's Core 7th Gen CPU (probably a Kaby Lake mobile CPU), 4GB LPDDR3 memory module running on 1866MHz, 256GB SSD storage.
