Thousand Hands App Launch: Auction Your Problems Away

Thousand Hands, an online services marketplace has been officially launched in Malaysia. The platform offers users faster and potentially cheaper services where service providers would bid for the job and users choose the best price and the best service provider.

What is Thousand Hands?

Imagine your washing machine breaks down and you have no idea if anyone would fix the appliance at a reasonable price. As an online services marketplace, instead of selling products, users now auctions their problem for service providers to bid.

Users then evaluate the service providers' rating and pricing before deciding to choose which service provider.

How to join?

Post Jobs

Download the free app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, then proceed with a simple registration process and you are ready to post jobs.

Find Jobs

To become a service provider would require additional actions where users would require to upload their identification document as well as proof of skillset or resume. The required documentation differs based on what kind of services you are providing. For instance, if you want to provide delivery service, you need to provide your driving license. Otherwise, if you're just providing a queuing service, no further qualification is required other than your IC.

How to pay the service providers?

Thousand Hands is currently working with e-Wallet by Boost (owned by Axiata Digital) to give users a new experience in cashless transactions. While the function is scheduled to be ready for roll out in October, the transactions between service providers and customers will be in cash.
