Noctua at Computex 2015

Vienna, June 11th 2015 – At last week’s Computex Taipei trade fair, Noctua exhibited a wide range of its upcoming products and received the 1st European Hardware Award for its renowned NH-D15 dual-tower cooler. Ranging from fan and heatsink prototypes on custom designs for industrial clients to updates on its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) project, Noctua’s line-up for this year’s show has received excellent feedback from the international press.

Awarded best cooling product of Computex 2015 by Tom’s Hardware, the highlight of the Austrians’ line-up was the upcoming next-generation 120mm A-series fan, which will succeed the award-winning NF-P12 and integrates Noctua’s latest technologies in order to provide unprecedented efficiency across a broad range of applications. Featuring an ultra-tight 0.5mm tip clearance and a pressure/airflow (P/Q) curve that has been carefully fine-tuned for mid to high impedance applications, the new fan performs exceptionally well on CPU heatsinks and water-cooling radiators. Noctua also showcased a redux version of the NF-P12 that is going to be introduced at the launch of the new 120mm A-series fan, which is currently scheduled for Q1 2016.

After updating their 92mm coolers and 14cm dual-tower model last year, Noctua gave the first preview of future updates to the renowned NH-U12 and NH-U14 single tower series. The fins of the prototypes are deeper than those of the current NH-U12S and NH-U14S, resulting in a 50% increase in surface area on the 12cm model and 30% on the 14cm model. Combined with one extra heat pipe and the next-generation 120mm A-series fan, the 12cm unit rivals the performance of the current NH-U14S. The new 14cm version provides further increased performance and is designed to work with a new 140mm A-series fan that follows the same design approach as the new 120mm model. Noctua plans to introduce both coolers when the respective fans are available in 2016.

Noctua also gave an update on its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) project. The key milestone of last year’s development was a major reduction in controller size that makes it possible to fit the entire ANC controller directly onto the fan’s internal PCB rather than into an external box. At the same time, the aerodynamic development has been shifted to be based on the upcoming new 120mm A-series fan in order to provide the best possible starting basis.

In the industrialPPC range, Noctua displayed the upcoming NF-A9 and NF-A8 models as well as 24V versions of the NF-F12 and NF-A14. The latter can also be run at 12V in standard PC environments, providing industrialPPC features and looks at speed and noise levels comparable to Noctua’s standard line-up, which makes them attractive for noise-conscious PC users and industrial applications alike. While the 24V versions are set for launch in Q4 2015, the NF-A9 and NF-A8 versions are scheduled for Q2 2016.

Meeting the increased demand for industrialPPC fans from PC enthusiasts, Noctua also showcased its ‘project chromax’, which will give alternative colour options for anti-vibration pads and anti-vibration mounts, allowing users to colour-match their industrialPPC fans to their individual build styles. The respective accessory kits in red, green, blue, yellow, black and white should be available by Q4.

The range of new accessories was rounded off by a silicone spacer frame for 120mm radiator fans that helps to seal off the gap between the fan and the radiator, as well as a PWM fan controller that allows PWM fans to be slowed down by lowering the PWM curve with optional capping of the minimum speed at 300rpm. While the former will be released with the upcoming 120mm A-series fan, the latter is set for release in Q4. For industrial clients, Noctua showed a 10-way PWM fan splitter board with LEDs for status monitoring.

In addition to the upcoming 120x25 and 140x25mm fans, Noctua exhibited its upcoming 20cm A-series fan that is currently scheduled for launch in Q4, as well as a slim 120x15mm version targeted for a mid-2016 release. A possible update to the popular NH-L12 low-profile cooler may use either of the upcoming 120x15 and 120x25mm A-series fans and is planned for later in 2016.

Last but not least, the exhibition included a wide range of custom heatsink designs for industrial clients, showcasing Noctua’s capabilities in manufacturing premium-quality cooling solutions for a broad range of applications.

Aside from the busy show floor, Noctua’s renowned NH-D15 dual-tower cooler was voted the best CPU cooler of the year 2015 by the jury of the European Hardware Association, made up of editors of eight leading hardware publications from Europe.

Kingston showcase its latest line up of Kingston and HyperX products with a performance that you'll never forget

While everyone gathered at Nangang Exhibition Hall and Taipei World Trade Center to exhibit their latest products, Kingston has decided to put on a show somewhere else instead. We're here at Kingston's experience zone to experience what Kingston has brought for us this year!

Here's the HyperX Cloud and Cloud II gaming headset, Kingston's successful attempt to give the end user something that is not related to memory, but gaming. We've tested the HyperX Cloud II personally and that's an outstanding performance that worth a thousand praise.

Surprised? That's a gaming mouse pad from Kingston alright, the HyperX Skyn, It's super thin and it did somehow reminded us the ROCCAT Siru.

Don't like thin mouse pad, there's the HyperX Fury gaming mouse pad.

Now here's something that we're all familiar with, Kingston's SSD, memory cards, flash drives. Some new products that we've spotted here is the Data Traveler microDuo 3C, Data Traveler Micro 3.1 and MobileLite wireless mobile companion.

Moving on with the HyperX line up, while HyperX SSD has been pretty common nowadays. but the Fury flash drive did surprise us.

Now this baby shines! A 1TB USB flash drive

Now to the performance RAMs, the HyperX Fury, HyperX Savage and HyperX Predator.

Here's another surprise from Kingston, bling on HyperX Savage memory! We're really looking forward to see what's coming.

That's a nicely done HyperX themed CM Storm Trooper they have there!

Wide variation of the HyperX Cloud gaming headset on display.

That's a huge HyperX Cloud headset! We can see a performance coming, but what kind of performance can we expect?

A stunning performance from the renown 羅小白, it's our first time seeing her performance LIVE. be quiet! unveils its second PC chassis Silent Base 600, SilentWings 3 fan and more!

Germany's leading Power Supply and PC cooling solutions manufacturer be quiet! announced its first PC chassis the Silent Base 800 last year back in Computex 2014 which turns out to be an excellent PC chassis and you won't believe that's their first and ever PC chassis. This year in Computex 2015, be quiet! continues its momentum for PC chassis and presented its second PC Chassis, the Silent Base 600.

Silent Base 600

If you're not the type that fancies on large windowed panel to show off your hardware, have no fear as be quiet! has already taken that into account! The Silent Base 600 will come in 2 different version: windowed side panel and non-windowed side panel.

In addition, be quiet! have also released the windowed side panel for the Silent Base 800 so that the existing Silent Base 800 owners who wants a windowed side panel, cheers!

The Silent Base 600 shares similar interior as the Silent Base 800 except for the support for multiple radiators like what has been offered by the Silent Base 800.

The middle hard drive cage can be removed if you need that extra space for your long graphics card.

Thanks to the spacious design, you'll still be able to mount a 280mm or 240mm radiator at the top of the chassis if you're planning to go for liquid cooling solution.

Just like the Silent Base 800, you'll have a large motherboard tray cutout to make installation easier for CPU coolers and 2 x 2.5" SSD mount if you need that extra juice for your system.

Here's one of  our favorite - Thanks to the spacious motherboard tray, cable management is made easier as you don't have to worry about not having enough space to accommodate all the cables even if you're using a non-modular power supply unit.

At the front you have an improved dust filter design than can be removed much easier for cleaning.

Same goes for the dust filter located at the bottom of the chassis, a simple pull on the lever will release the dust filter from its slot.

Both the Silent Base 600 and Silent Base 800 is a proof that be quiet! is serious in designing their PC chassis to ensure the best feature and quality can be delivered to the end users to satisfy their needs.

SilentWings 3

Up next is the SilentWings 3 fan - that's right, the 3rd generation SilentWings! SilentWings has been one of our favorite be quiet! fan

The rubber mount that we're familiar with, helps to absorb vibration for a quieter operation.

The new universal mounting mechanism for all, be it as case fan, CPU cooler or radiator fan, the universal mounting mechanism can get the job done!

be quiet! claims that the new fan frame that shapes like a funnel works with the revised fan blade design to provide more airflow and pressure.

be quiet! with its latest design of 6-pole motor and new motor IC to allow for quieter and vibration reduced operation as well as less power consumption.

Dark Power Pro 11

Aside of the Silent Base 600 and SilentWings 3, be quiet! have also showed us their latest Dark Power Pro power supply, the Dark Power Pro 11. Claimed to be the most advanced Dark Power Pro they've ever built that features the new SilentWings 3 fan, 80 PLUS platinum efficiency and Overclocking key for multi or single 12V rail, we're very eager to know what kind of performance does the Dark Power Pro 11 can deliver if it is placed in a monster rig with multiple GTX Titan X running under SLI.

Dark Rock TF & Shadow Rock LP

be quiet! announced both Dark Rock TF and Shadow Rock LP during CES 2015 and this time, we get to see it with our own eyes!
